Why choosing a legal professional matters

Have a question in your mind?

At Cougar Immigration, we understand that moving to Canada is more than just paperwork — it’s the beginning of a new chapter in your life. With over a decade of hands-on experience and a passion for helping individuals, families, and employers succeed, our licensed RCIC team offers transparent, reliable, and client-focused immigration services.

Business migration programs typically require you to demonstrate relevant business experience, meet minimum investment thresholds, and show that your business plan can create jobs or contribute to the Canadian economy. Requirements vary by province and program.

You must have been physically present in Canada for at least 1,095 days (three years) in the five years before your application, along with meeting language, knowledge, and residency obligations.

Canadian citizens and permanent residents can sponsor their spouse, common-law partner, dependent children, parents, and grandparents. Some programs also allow sponsorship of other relatives under special circumstances.

To keep your permanent resident status, you must live in Canada for at least 730 days within five years and continue to meet residency and admissibility requirements.

Special pathways are immigration programs designed for specific groups, such as caregivers, refugees, or applicants under humanitarian and compassionate grounds. Each pathway has unique eligibility rules.

A: Most temporary resident visas allow you to stay in Canada for up to six months at a time. The duration depends on your visa type, purpose of visit, and the officer’s decision at the port of entry.
