Manitoba added 10,000 full-time jobs in November, as reported in the latest Labour Force Survey by Statistics Canada, with Finance Minister Adrien Sala highlighting this achievement. He stated that the province’s efforts across various industries aim to bolster the economy, enhance productivity, and attract investments. The government recently introduced a critical minerals strategy to strengthen its position in the global market and invested $23.4 million in NFI Group to create jobs in Winnipeg. The survey indicated that Manitoba’s employment growth surpassed the national average, with an unemployment rate remaining lower than the national figure. Sala mentioned the government’s success in maintaining low inflation and unemployment while focusing on job creation and affordability and noted upcoming plans for a new economic development strategy aimed at increasing productivity.
