Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From April 7 to April 14, Canada invited 2,963 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of April 14, there were 17,270 candidates registered in the pool, waiting for the invitation. In this round, there were 2 ITAs for Andorra, 228 ITAs for Australia, 40 ITAs for Belgium, 15 ITAs for Chile, 140 ITAs for Costa Rica, 5 ITAs for Croatia, 26 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 5 ITAs for Denmark, 3 ITAs for Estonia, 178 ITAs for France, 196 ITAs for Germany, 11 ITAs for Greece, 3 ITAs for Hong Kong, 196 ITAs for Ireland, 59 ITAs for Italy, 229 ITAs for Japan, 555 ITAs for Korea, 8 ITAs for Lithuania, 72 ITAs for New Zealand, 4 ITAs for Norway, 26 ITAs for Poland, 34 ITAs for Portugal, 20 ITAs for Slovakia, 1 ITA for Slovenia, 54 ITAs for Spain, 21 ITAs for Sweden, 10 ITAs for Switzerland, 477 ITAs for Taiwan, and 345 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2023, Canada issued 77,198 ITAs under the IEC Program.
