Ottawa published a new update regarding the Quebec Acceptance Certificate

On February 27, 2024, the Canadian Government released an update regarding the Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ). Starting December 11, 2023, the Ministere de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Integration (MIFI) has transitioned from issuing a paper confirmation letter of the CAQ to temporary foreign workers who plan to apply for a work permit via a labour market impact assessment (LMIA) through the Temporary Foreign Workers Program (TFWP). The MIFI has transitioned to providing an online attestation of the issuance of a CAQ. Some applicants, such as those in the agriculture stream and in-home caregivers, will receive the attestation by mail until the online method is fully operational.
