On June 28, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced that the government would survey employers who have used the International Mobility Program (IMP) to hire temporary workers exempt from the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) in Canada. The confidential survey will help IRCC understand the efficiency of current policies and changes to be made. Participation is voluntary, and the survey will take 20-25 minutes to complete online between June 28 and July 24, 2023. The survey will be available in English and French and will be sent to a sample of employers who supported a work permit application under the IMP, approved between January 1, 2018, and December 31, 2022.
