Ontario eased driver’s license renewal for Ukrainian newcomers

The Government of Ontario has eased driver’s license renewal for Ukrainian newcomers arriving in Canada under the Canada-Ukraine authorization for emergency travel (CUAET). Ukrainian nationals may report their international driving experience and pass exams in a very short time. Applicants who pass the G1 and G2 exams have to wait at least one day before entering the full G exam. Applicants must provide their Ukrainian passports, Canadian visa approved under the CUAET, and their valid driver’s licenses from Ukraine (if available). Those who have applied before this change can go to any DriveTest center or Service Ontario located in Queens Park to share their experiences and start the new process.
