Ontario to introduce orders for contravention of the Ontario Immigration Act by individuals, employers, and representatives

On April 12, 2022, the Government of Ontario announced that starting from May 3, 2022, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) will publish the names of individuals, employers, and representatives who have had monetary penalties or banning orders imposed against them for contravening the Ontario Immigration Act, 2015. All individuals, employers, and representatives must provide the accurate and correct information when applying to the OINP. By publishing contraventions of the Act, the Government of Ontario aims to protect the public and further strengthen the integrity of the program.
