New Brunswick allowed nurses from France to work in the province

On September 26, 2022, the Nurses Association of New Brunswick adopted a streamlined process allowing French-licensed nurses to expedite their licence to practise in the province. The provincial government’s health plan, Stabilizing Health Care: An Urgent Call to Action, seeks to establish an integrated health system that guarantees New Brunswickers timely and improved medical care. The strategy also includes a boost in the recognition of foreign-trained health professionals’ qualifications. The program is built on an existing partnership in Quebec to identify qualified professional groups from France and help them speed up the licensing process.
