The Budget for 2023 includes significant investments to support Canada’s clean economy and bring prosperity, middle-class jobs and livelier communities throughout the country. On April 4, 2023, Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), announced clean investment tax credits as part of the Budget 2023 initiatives. These initiatives have three tiers: investment tax credits that include provisions to ensure worker benefits, low-cost strategic financing, and targeted investments focused on meeting the specific needs of sectors or projects deemed essential to the national economy.
