Canada will not repeat TR2PR pathway draws in 2022

After the recent announcement of immigration levels, Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), answered questions about the TR2PR pathway. In April 2022, Canada announced a new pathway, enabling existing temporary residents and workers to convert to permanent residents. The immigration minister stated that the current immigration levels plan did not include the TR2PR pathway repeating, which was designed to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. TR2PR was designed to help Canada reach its immigration goals and support its economic recovery.
