About the Canada Tourist Visa

- A valid passport with a validity period of at least six months.

- 2 current passport photos with a white background and no borders

- If you intend to live with your relatives, you must provide a sworn document or an invitation letter.

The Application Process for a Canadian Tourist Visa

- Step 1: Choose how to apply for a Tourist visa online or offline.
- Step 2: Fill out an application for your visa with the proper supporting documents.
- Step 3: Pay the fee via certified cheque or a bank draft.
- Step 4: Visit the nearest Canadian visa application centre with your passport, photographs, and any other required documents.
- Step 5: You must provide your fingerprints and a photograph (biometrics)
- Step 6: Submit your visa application form to the Visa Application Centre in Canada.
- Step 7: Obtain a receipt from the application centre that includes the unique tracking number.
- Step 8: Use this number to track your application online.
Cost to Apply for Canada Tourist Visa
A Canada Tourist Visa costs $100 CAD for a single entry, and $500 CAD for a multiple entry.
How can you extend your visitor visa in Canada?
If your stay in Canada is nearing its end and you want to extend your visit, you must apply for a visitor visa extension at least 30 days before your current status expires.
You can apply online or on paper. Applying online is faster, and you will get a decision within 8 weeks. You can also get an electronic travel authorization (eTA) if you plan to fly to Canada.
To extend your stay, you must:
– have a valid passport;
– have a valid email address;
– have enough money for your stay and to return home;
– not plan to work or study while in Canada; and
– obey the law and have no criminal record.
If you are allowed to extend your stay, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will give you a document called a Visitor Record, which will show the date until which you can stay in Canada as a visitor.
