British Columbia’s latest business immigration draw saw 23 invitations issued through two Entrepreneur streams.
The November 12 draw saw 18 invites issued trough the Entrepreneur Immigration General Category and five through the Entrepreneur Immigration Regional Pilot of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program.
For the general category, the minimum score was 112, compared to 121 for the regional pilot.

The October 29 draw featured invites through both the Entrepreneur Immigration General Category and the Entrepreneur Immigration Regional Pilot.
Through the general category, 19 invites were issued with a minimum score of 114 points.
Through the regional pilot, 5 invites were issued with a minimum score of 110 points

What Are The Requirements For The B.C. Entrepreneur Category?
Business candidates in this British Columbia immigration category must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Demonstrate a personal net worth of at least $800,000;
- Make a personal investment of at least $400 000 to establish or purchase and expand an eligible business in B.C.;
- Create at least three jobs for Canadian citizens or permanent residents;
- Participate in the day-to-day management and direction or the business;
- Sign a performance agreement with B.C. prior to nomination;
- Candidates in the Entrepreneur category can sponsor a key staff member for Canadian permanent residence.
What Are The Requirements For The B.C. Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot Category?
Community Requirements
- The population of less than 75,000.
- Located beyond 30km from a municipality of more than 75,000 population.
- Demonstrated capacity to support foreign entrepreneurs with a network of settlement and business support agencies.
- Immigration and pilot-specific training must be completed by community representatives.
Candidate Requirements
- Desire to start a business and settle in a B.C. regional community.
- Complete an exploratory visit.
- Minimum of $100,000 in eligible business investments.
- The minimum personal net worth of $300,000.
- Minimum of 51 percent ownership.
- Minimum of one new job created.
