On April 25, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). In this round, Sudbury considered 21 candidates. The lowest score of these draws was 260 points, ten points fewer than in the previous draw. Last year, Sudbury invited a total of 154 applicants. The city has recommended at least 297 individuals under the RNIP since the program’s launch. So far, the city has considered 97 candidates in 2023.
