Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From April 1 to April 6, Canada invited 7,409 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of April 6, there were 16,823 candidates registered in the pool, waiting for the invitation. In this round, there were 742 ITAs for Australia, 101 ITAs for Belgium, 30 ITAs for Chile, 204 ITAs for Costa Rica, 2 ITAs for Croatia, 84 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 49 ITAs for Denmark, 16 ITAs for Estonia, 274 ITAs for France, 424 ITAs for Germany, 25 ITAs for Greece, 19 ITAs for Hong Kong, 689 ITAs for Ireland, 206 ITAs for Italy, 634 ITAs for Japan, 1,288 ITAs for Korea, 19 ITAs for Lithuania, 2 ITAs for Luxembourg, 105 ITAs for the Netherlands, 183 ITAs for New Zealand, 1 ITA for Norway, 95 ITAs for Poland, 93 ITAs for Portugal, 33 ITAs for Slovakia, 1 ITA for Slovenia, 158 ITAs for Spain, 19 ITAs for Sweden, 10 ITAs for Switzerland, 603 ITAs for Taiwan, and 1,000 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In addition, IRCC issued 1,878 invitations to individuals applying through recognized organizations. In 2023, Canada issued 74,236 ITAs under the IEC Program.
