Ottawa published a new update for Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot applications

On October 13, 2022, the Government of Canada published updated instructions for the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP) to provide additional information related to the Pilot eligibility requirements. The new update waived the time requirement for work experience selection criteria. Suppose there is a work experience selection criterion. In that case, decision-makers are to evaluate whether the total required work experience has been obtained before the applicant submits their application, allowing breaks and gaps in the accumulated work history. In addition, the Government updated instructions regarding using a loan as proof of settlement funds and announced that clients can now apply for the EMPP online.
