Canada’s labour market remains tight, according to BMO senior economist Robert Kavcic in his latest Regional Labour Market Report Card: Coast-to-Coast Tightness. According to the report, in the second quarter of 2022, the top ten Canadian cities for labour market performance were St. Catharines, Saskatoon, Guelph, Halifax, Oshawa, Calgary, and Ottawa, Edmonton, Kelowna, and St. John’s.
