IRCC extends special immigration measures for Haitians until late 2025

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced an extension of temporary special measures supporting Haitian nationals in Canada and their family members until November 19, 2025. The program, which began in May 2024, waives certain processing fees and passport requirements for eligible individuals, facilitating easier access to study permits, work permits, and temporary resident status. These measures specifically benefit Haitian nationals with valid temporary resident status and family members of Canadian citizens or permanent residents who arrived in Canada between March and April 2024.
