Starting December 1, 2024, Canada implemented increased application and processing fees for visitor, worker, and student visa applications. Below are the categories affected by the fee adjustments:
- Authorization to Return to Canada: Increased from $459.55 to $479.75
- Temporary resident permit: Increased from $229.77 to $239.75
- Inadmissibility on grounds of criminality: Increased from $229.77 to $239.75
- Inadmissibility on grounds of serious criminality: Increased from $1,148.87 to $1,199.00
- Status restoration as a visitor: Visa fee not required ($229 to $239.75)
- Status restoration as a worker: Fee increased from $229 to $239.75
- Status restoration as a worker with a new work permit: Total cost ($239.75 for restoration + $155 for a new work permit) will range from $384.77 to $394.75
- Status restoration as a student: Fee increased from $229 to $239.75
- Status Restoration as a student with a new study permit: Total cost ($239.75 for restoration + $150 for a new study permit) will range from $379.77 to $389.75
Additionally, the International Experience Canada fee will rise from $172.00 to $179.75 starting December 1, 2024. The IRCC will guide candidates on adjusting the application fee if additional payments are required.
