Six companies are currently hiring and can provide LMIA-exempt work permits in Canada

Foreign nationals may qualify for an LMIA-exempt work permit if employed by one of eight Canadian companies, primarily in the technology sector. The companies include Ada Support Inc., AlayaCare, CellCarta, Clarius Mobile Health, Clio, and Lightspeed Commerce. Duchesnay Pharmaceutical Group and Vive Crop Protection are not currently hiring in Canada. Earlier this month, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) launched a new work permit under the Innovation Stream. This stream is one of the four key components of Canada’s Tech Talent Strategy, aimed at fostering economic growth by attracting skilled talent to Canada. The Innovation Stream offers LMIA-exempt work permits to employers involved in the Global Hypergrowth Project (GHP). The GHP, initiated by the Canadian government, is designed to support the expansion of innovative Canadian firms. Its goal is to help create job opportunities, assist small businesses, and stimulate economic growth. The initial eight companies selected are all established Canadian firms recognized by the government as industry leaders and innovators.
