Boissonnault highlighted the importance of safeguarding the health and safety of temporary foreign workers and mentioned forthcoming reforms to eliminate fraud and exploitation. The proposed changes would affect jobs paying below the median hourly wage across provinces and territories, impacting several industries, including transportation, agriculture, and food and beverage.
