Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From July 15 to July 21, Canada invited 2,171 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of July 19, 34,871 candidates were registered in the pool and waiting for the invitation. In this round, there were 204 ITAs for Australia, 1 ITA for Austria, 21 ITAs for Belgium, 397 ITAs for Costa Rica, 4 ITAs for Croatia, 22 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 9 ITAs for Denmark, 4 ITAs for Estonia, 10 ITAs for Finland, 154 ITAs for France, 125 ITAs for Germany, 5 ITAs for Greece, 3 ITAs for Hong Kong, 81 ITAs for Ireland, 79 ITAs for Italy, 173 ITAs for Japan, 16 ITAs for Korea, 2 ITAs for Lithuania, 1 ITA for Luxembourg, 60 ITAs for New Zealand, 8 ITAs for Norway, 15 ITAs for Poland, 27 ITAs for Portugal, 5 ITAs for Slovakia, 5 ITAs for Slovenia, 23 for Spain, 8 ITAs for Sweden, 9 ITAs for Switzerland, 318 ITAs for Taiwan, and 382 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2024, Canada issued 97,793 ITAs under the IEC Program.
