On November 28, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) Program. In this round, Sudbury considered 36 candidates, including one candidate under the Limited Stream and two candidates through the Francophone Stream. The lowest score of these draws was 245 points, ten points lower than in the previous draw. Last year, Sudbury invited a total of 154 applicants. Since the program’s launch, the city has recommended around 555 individuals under the RNIP. So far, the city has considered 478 candidates in 2023.
