On September 20, 2022, Thunder Bay, ON, issued new community recommendations in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). The city approved the applications of 40 candidates whose evaluations scored as low as 47%. In addition, the city issued additional 66 community recommendations on October 18, 2022. The evaluation scores of these candidates were as low as 46%. In 2021, the community recommended a total of 96 candidates. Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) has recommended 281 candidates this year.
