There has been a tremendous increase in ‘Ghost’ immigration consultants throughout Canada recently. Unauthorized or unlicensed experts have been accused of having a physical office in many Canadian cities. Illegal immigration and visa consultants are most common on social media, especially TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms. Ghost consultants are individuals who pretend to provide immigration services to clients but do not have the required education or training. They falsely represent themselves as immigration experts. They are not allowed to advocate for or apply for a client’s immigration status.
