The Government of Canada will equip immigration offices in Romania, Poland, and Austria with mobile biometric kits to take fingerprints and portrait photos of Ukrainian refugees to help them meet the security and biometrics requirements of the Canadian Government and ease their travel to Canada. Despite all the softened requirements for Ukrainian citizens, biometrics will still be a mandatory requirement and will have to be submitted to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) before the issuance of a visa. In 2022, Canada has already welcomed more than 8,500 Ukrainians.
