Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From January 27 to February 2, Canada invited 9,717 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of January 31, 25,642 candidates were registered in the pool and waiting for the invitation. In this round, there were 241 ITAs for Australia, 14 ITAs for Austria, 36 ITAs for Belgium, 209 ITAs for Chile, 39 ITAs for Costa Rica, 6 ITAs for Croatia, 14 ITAs for Denmark, 7 ITAs for Estonia, 4 ITAs for Finland, 1,143 ITAs for France, 1,236 ITAs for Germany, 14 ITAs for Greece, 5 ITAs for Hong Kong, 207 ITAs for Ireland, 132 ITAs for Italy, 1,837 ITAs for Japan, 2,231 ITAs for Korea, 10 ITAs for Latvia, 11 ITAs for Lithuania, 2 ITAs for Luxembourg, 65 ITAs for the Netherlands, 190 ITAs for New Zealand, 6 ITAs for Norway, 25 ITAs for Poland, 20 ITAs for Portugal, 14 ITAs for Slovakia, 2 ITAs for Slovenia, 225 ITAs for Spain, 18 ITAs for Sweden, 14 ITAs for Switzerland, 205 ITAs for Taiwan, and 1,534 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2025, Canada issued 27,261 ITAs under the IEC Program.
