The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has reported substantial progress in border security and immigration control. The agency identified nearly 40,000 potentially inadmissible foreign nationals at U.S. land borders in 2024, marking a 32% increase from the previous year. Additionally, the CBSA successfully removed over 16,470 individuals who violated immigration laws, with more than 4,660 being returned to the U.S. The agency’s efficiency was further demonstrated through approximately 10,680 preventive airline boarding interventions, showcasing its commitment to strengthening border security measures under Canada’s new $1.3 billion Border Plan.
