Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has expanded health insurance requirements for super visa applicants, allowing them to purchase coverage from authorized foreign insurance providers. This change makes the super visa program more accessible for parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents who wish to visit Canada for extended periods. Previously limited to Canadian insurers only, the new policy enables applicants to obtain coverage from OSFI-authorized foreign companies while maintaining the same protection standards during their stay in Canada.
