The Government of Saskatchewan has proclaimed International Education Week from November 18 to 22, 2024, joining over 100 countries in recognizing the importance of cultural and academic exchange programs. Advanced Education Minister Ken Cheveldayoff highlighted international students’ significant role in Saskatchewan’s economic growth and cultural diversity. In 2023-24, the province welcomed over 14,400 international students from more than 14 countries, while nearly 470 Saskatchewan students studied abroad. The initiative aims to promote Saskatchewan as a prime destination for international students to study, work, and live, contributing to the province’s Labour Market Strategy and Growth Plan.
