Canada unveils a new permanent residence pathway for PS752 victims’ families

On October 28, 2024, the Government of Canada announced a new pathway to permanent residence for families of victims of Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752. The Government announced that from October 28, 2024, to October 27, 2025, eligible family members of Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or those approved to work or study in Canada who lost their lives in the tragedy can apply for permanent residency. This initiative builds on previous efforts to support affected families and aligns with Canada’s commitment to justice and accountability for the victims of the January 8, 2020, incident that claimed 176 lives.
