Saskatchewan’s economy is showing remarkable strength as the province added 19,200 jobs year-over-year in August, with an impressive 17,800 of those being full-time positions. This 3.2% growth rate ranks Saskatchewan third among provinces. The province continues to boast the lowest unemployment rate in Canada at 5.4%, well below the national average of 6.6%. Immigration and Career Training Minister Jeremy Harrison attributed this success to Saskatchewan’s strong investment climate and the lowest inflation rate nationwide. The province also saw record highs in its labour force and full-time employment numbers, signalling a robust and growing economy.
