Newfoundland and Labrador’s Department of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills has issued a call for proposals under its Settlement and Integration Grants program. The initiative aims to boost support for newcomers by partnering with various organizations, including non-profits, educational institutions, and local governments. With funding of up to $300,000 available per project, the program focuses on two key areas: economic integration and settlement services. These efforts come as the province experiences a significant increase in immigration, with permanent residency numbers rising by 56.9% in the past year. The program seeks to improve labour market access, credential recognition, and community integration for newcomers.
