Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From August 11 to August 18, Canada invited 2,626 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of August 18, 34,340 candidates were registered in the pool and waiting for the invitation. In this round, there were one ITA for Andorra, 164 ITAs for Australia, 27 ITAs for Belgium, 1,125 ITAs for Chile, 46 ITAs for Costa Rica, 4 ITAs for Croatia, 23 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 4 ITAs for Denmark, 3 ITAs for Estonia, 14 ITAs for Finland, 131 ITAs for France, 337 ITAs for Germany, 2 ITAs for Greece, 74 ITAs for Ireland, 11 ITAs for Hong Kong, one ITA for Iceland, 66 ITAs for Italy, 142 ITAs for Japan, 38 ITAs for Korea, 5 ITAs for Lithuania, 3 ITAs for Luxembourg, 38 ITAs for the Netherlands, 50 ITAs for New Zealand, 3 ITAs for Norway, 11 ITAs for Poland, 20 ITAs for Portugal, 2 ITAs for Slovakia, 1 ITA for Slovenia, 16 ITAs for Spain, 2 ITAs for Sweden, 3 ITAs for Switzerland, 171 ITAs for Taiwan, and 88 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2024, Canada issued 109,038 ITAs under the IEC Program.
