Over the last two weeks, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From July 29 to August 11, Canada invited 5,649 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of August 11, 34,226 candidates were registered in the pool and waiting for the invitation. In this round, there were one ITA for Andorra, 465 ITAs for Australia, 66 ITAs for Belgium, 2,286 ITAs for Chile, 172 ITAs for Costa Rica, 7 ITAs for Croatia, 54 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 18 ITAs for Denmark, 4 ITAs for Estonia, 11 ITAs for Finland, 341 ITAs for France, 57 ITAs for Germany, 8 ITAs for Greece, 1 ITA for Hong Kong, 1 ITA for Iceland, 158 ITAs Ireland, 179 ITAs for Italy, 332 ITAs for Japan, 86 ITAs for Korea, 13 ITAs for Lithuania, 3 ITAs for Luxembourg, 283 ITAs for the Netherlands, 99 ITAs for New Zealand, 8 ITAs for Norway, 31 ITAs for Poland, 43 ITAs for Portugal, 12 ITAs for Slovakia, 4 ITAs for Slovenia, 53 for Spain, 25 ITAs for Sweden, 11 ITAs for Switzerland, 558 ITAs for Taiwan, and 259 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2024, Canada issued 106,426 ITAs under the IEC Program.
