A recent study by Remote HR has placed Canada in the top 10 countries for work-life balance, securing the fifth position globally. The study evaluated factors such as statutory annual leave, sick pay, work hours, minimum wage, and overall happiness. Canada scored 72.75 out of 100, excelling in areas like shorter work weeks (averaging 32 hours), safety, and 2SLGBTQ+ friendliness. While Canada performed well overall, the report highlighted a need for improvement in vacation time, with statutory leave varying by province. This ranking adds to Canada’s growing appeal as a destination for newcomers, complementing its recent recognition of safety and desirability for international workers.
