A recent Angus Reid Institute survey indicates that many newcomers to Canada are contemplating moving to another province or leaving the country entirely due to high housing costs. The study found that nearly 40% of newcomers who arrived in the past decade are considering relocation. Although the average home price has decreased to $699,117, rental costs have surged by over 17%. In cities like Vancouver and Toronto, skyrocketing rents push highly skilled immigrants to reconsider their options. Furthermore, 42% of Canadians, including newcomers, are willing to move abroad for better affordability and quality of life.
