On July 3, 2024, the Canadian Government announced a new program delivery update for spouses or common-law partners of study permit holders. Notably, the Bachelor of Nursing (BN) has been added to the list of eligible professional degree programs for applications submitted on or after April 30, 2024. This update will offer more opportunities for families of international students, enhancing Canada’s appeal as a destination for higher education. The change is designed to support international students by enabling their spouses or common-law partners to work during their studies.
