For the first time, Canada’s Northwest Territories (NWT) has reached its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) allocation limit of 300 in 2024. This milestone, achieved by July, marks a significant development as NWT had never previously hit its allocation limit. Consequently, new Employer-Driven and Francophone streams applications are closed for the rest of 2024. There are exceptions for foreign workers who have worked in NWT on temporary permits expiring this year. However, the Business Stream remains open. Notably, international migration to NWT peaked in Q2 of 2024.
