New Brunswick announced a new healthcare recruitment partnership with Indonesia

The Government of New Brunswick has signed a letter of intent with Indonesia to ease the recruitment of trained healthcare workers, including nurses and nursing aides. Health Minister Bruce Fitch highlighted the partnership as a significant step in addressing workforce needs and enhancing international relations. Signed during an Indonesian delegation’s visit to the province, the agreement focuses on developing frameworks for recruiting, training, and deploying Indonesian healthcare professionals in New Brunswick. Indonesian immigration authority’s secretary general, Rinardi Rusman, expressed optimism for broader cooperation. An inaugural recruitment mission to Indonesia is planned for the fall.
