BC announces longer processing times for Skills Immigration applications

On July 15, 2024, British Columbia announced changes to the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) processing times for Skills Immigration applications. Applicants submitting after May 2024 will experience longer processing times due to fewer federal nominations and increased applications. This delay is expected to persist until early 2025, after which processing times should return to about three months for 80% of applications. Despite the extended times, the BC PNP will continue issuing invitations to apply (ITAs) and accepting new applications during this period.
