Newfoundland and Labrador issued a warning against fraudulent immigration documents circulation

On June 13, 2024, the Department of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills of Newfoundland and Labrador warned the public about distributing counterfeit documents purported to be issued by the department’s Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism. These deceptive documents may include certificates such as the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) nomination certificates and Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) endorsement certificates, among others. Individuals are urged to remain vigilant and protect themselves against immigration fraud. Genuine documents from the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism are always emailed as password-protected PDFs to prevent such fraudulent activities. Moreover, all services provided by the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism are free of charge.
