Over the last two weeks, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From May 20 to June 2, Canada invited 4,615 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of June 2, 34,015 candidates were registered in the pool and waiting for the invitation. In this round, there were 522 ITAs for Australia, 13 ITAs for Austria, 149 ITAs for Belgium, 6 ITAs for Chile, 2 ITAs for Costa Rica, 4 ITAs for Croatia, 34 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 28 ITAs for Denmark, 5 ITAs for Estonia, 5 ITAs for Finland, 394 ITAs for France, 244 ITAs for Germany, 19 ITAs for Greece, 23 ITAs for Hong Kong, 186 ITAs for Ireland, 139 ITAs for Italy, 378 ITAs for Japan, 1,233 ITAs for Korea, 2 ITAs for Latvia, 12 ITAs for Lithuania, 2 ITAs for Luxembourg, 1 ITA for the Netherlands, 124 ITAs for New Zealand, 8 ITAs for Norway, 43 ITAs for Poland, 41 ITAs for Portugal, 29 ITAs for Slovakia, 4 ITAs for Slovenia, 124 for Spain, 27 ITAs for Sweden, 15 ITAs for Switzerland, 52 ITAs for Taiwan, and 859 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2024, Canada issued 83,384 ITAs under the IEC Program.
