On May 2, 2024, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). In round #217, the MPNP held a new occupation-specific selection under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) stream and invited 488 applicants. In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, MPNP issued 26 LAAs to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The lowest score in the SWO category was 796 points, 152 points more than in the previous draw for this category. In addition, 427 invitations were issued in the International Education Stream. Manitoba has issued LAAs to 941 candidates in this round, including 181 Express Entry candidates. In 2024, MPNP invited 3,617 candidates, and 478 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.
