Over the last two weeks, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From April 29 to May 12, Canada invited 3,864 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of May 12, 33,870 candidates were registered in the pool and waiting for the invitation. In this round, there were 1 ITA for Andorra, 481 ITAs for Australia, 11 ITAs for Austria, 55 ITAs for Belgium, 9 ITAs for Chile, 6 ITAs for Costa Rica, 7 ITAs for Croatia, 34 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 19 ITAs for Denmark, 5 ITAs for Estonia, 2 ITAs for Finland, 633 ITAs for France, 233 ITAs for Germany, 17 ITAs for Greece, 24 ITAs for Hong Kong, 1 ITA for Iceland, 207 ITAs for Ireland, 137 ITAs for Italy, 371 ITAs for Japan, 177 ITAs for Korea, 3 ITAs for Latvia, 16 ITAs for Lithuania, 9 ITAs for the Netherlands, 107 ITAs for New Zealand, 13 ITAs for Norway, 40 ITAs for Poland, 47 ITAs for Portugal, 27 ITAs for Slovakia, 4 ITAs for Slovenia, 113 ITAs for Spain, 30 ITAs for Sweden, 23 ITAs for Switzerland, 137 ITAs for Taiwan, and 865 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2024, Canada issued 76,397 ITAs under the IEC Program.
