Over the past three weeks, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From April 8 to April 28, Canada invited 9,954 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of April 28, 32,497 candidates were registered in the pool and waiting for the invitation. In this round, there were 690 ITAs for Australia, 19 ITAs for Austria, 92 ITAs for Belgium, 215 ITAs for Chile, 24 ITAs for Costa Rica, 6 ITAs for Croatia, 77 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 40 ITAs for Denmark, 14 ITAs for Estonia, 17 ITAs for Finland, 3,053 ITAs for France, 383 ITAs for Germany, 23 ITAs for Greece, 33 ITAs for Hong Kong, 2 ITAs for Iceland, 385 ITAs for Ireland, 189 ITAs for Italy, 571 ITAs for Japan, 1,611 ITAs for Korea, 12 ITAs for Latvia, 32 ITAs for Lithuania, 3 ITAs for Luxembourg, 70 ITAs for the Netherlands, 166 ITAs for New Zealand, 21 ITAs for Norway, 51 ITAs for Poland, 75 ITAs for Portugal, 25 ITAs for Slovakia, 6 ITAs for Slovenia, 190 ITAs for Spain, 38 ITAs for Sweden, 25 ITAs for Switzerland, 474 ITAs for Taiwan, and 1,322 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2024, Canada issued 72,533 ITAs under the IEC Program.
