On March 26, 2024, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held a new Express Entry draw for French language proficiency candidates. In round #291, IRCC issued 1,500 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to francophone candidates. The cut-off score of this draw was 388 points, 52 points more than the previous draw for this category, held on February 29, 2024. The tie-breaking rule for this round was March 10, 2024, at 20:06:26 UTC. As of March 24, 2024, there were 211,962 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool. Canada issued 26,695 ITAs through the Express Entry draws this year, including 11,000 for French language proficiency candidates.
