Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From January 14 to January 21, Canada invited 7,474 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of January 21, there were 34,358 candidates registered in the pool, waiting for the invitation. In this round, there were 478 ITAs for Australia, 33 ITAs for Austria, 155 ITAs for Belgium, 53 ITAs for Chile, 9 ITAs for Costa Rica, 2 ITAs for Croatia, 90 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 24 ITAs for Denmark, 6 ITAs for Estonia, 605 ITAs for France, 333 ITAs for Germany, 31 ITAs for Greece, 34 ITAs for Hong Kong, 3 ITAs for Iceland, 457 ITAs for Ireland, 232 ITAs for Italy, 700 ITAs for Japan, 1,989 ITAs for Korea, 20 ITAs for Latvia, 45 ITAs for Lithuania, 1 ITA for Luxembourg, 143 ITAs for the Netherlands, 163 ITAs for New Zealand, 8 ITAs for Norway, 64 ITAs for Poland, 45 ITAs for Portugal, 1 ITA for San Marino, 66 ITAs for Slovakia, 2 ITAs for Slovenia, 220 for Spain, 17 ITAs for Sweden, 16 ITAs for Switzerland, 74 ITAs for Taiwan, and 1,355 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2024, Canada issued 19,396 ITAs under the IEC Program.
