On January 10, 2024, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the first Express Entry draw of 2024 and issued 1,510 Invitations to Apply (ITA). In this draw, IRCC continued inviting candidates under all immigration programs. In round #279, the cut-off score was 546 points, four points more than the previous General draw. The tie-breaking rule for this round was December 31, 2023, at 18:23:22 UTC. As of January 9, 2024, there were 212,157 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool. Last year, Canada issued 110,266 ITAs through Express Entry.
