On December 14, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held new rounds of invitations in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) Program. In this round, Sudbury considered 39 candidates, including 35 candidates via the Conventional Stream, one candidate under the Limited Stream, and three candidates through the Francophone Stream. Last year, Sudbury invited a total of 154 applicants. Since the program’s launch, the city has recommended around 625 individuals under the RNIP. So far, the city has considered 545 candidates in 2023.
