Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From July 22 to July 28, Canada invited 2,120 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of July 28, 27,622 candidates registered in the pool, awaiting the invitation. In this round, there were 241 ITAs for Australia, 2 ITAs for Austria, 2 ITAs for Belgium, 602 ITAs for Costa Rica, 2 ITAs for Croatia, 21 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 4 ITAs for Denmark, 1 ITA for Estonia, 116 ITAs for France, 122 ITAs for Germany, 8 ITAs for Greece, 20 ITAs for Hong Kong, 101 ITAs for Ireland, 76 ITAs for Italy, 185 ITAs for Japan, 23 ITAs for Korea, 1 ITA for Latvia, 4 ITAs for Lithuania, 1 ITA for Luxembourg, 22 ITA for the Netherlands, 61 ITAs for New Zealand, 5 ITAs for Norway, 25 ITAs for Poland, 20 ITAs for Portugal, 10 ITAs for Slovakia, 64 ITAs for Spain, 13 ITAs for Sweden, 6 ITAs for Switzerland, 5 ITAs for Taiwan, and 357 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2023, Canada issued 101,792 ITAs under the IEC Program.
